We were thrilled to have one of our hats featured at the Kentucky Derby 2019!
This lady wore one of our newest hats (will be added to the website very soon) and styled it with a pink floral dress, blush pink shoes and a white belt. She wore chunky gold drop down earrings and statement sunglasses. She looked fab!
To create a similar style with this hat or any of our others, you could use our Rosemary earring (gold), Lilac or Lily (silver) earrings. Or for a more subtle drop down earring, you could try Clover (which are on sale!) or Fuschia earrings.
For sunglasses, you could try Calla or Poinsetta. All would create an amazing look! And for a white bag to match the belt, you could try White Echinecea or White Floss Flower.
The Kentucky Derby is all about pink. Their logo has pink, they decorate with pink and encourage people to THINK PINK when it comes to their attire. This is all to support and raise awareness for breast and ovarian cancer. We absolutely love this idea and we have some fab pink items that would really work at this event.
There were all kinds of hats at this event from huge and dramatic to subtle and sleek. To create similar looks, our Brooklyn and Viv hats add a real slice of drama to a simple outfit. For a pop of bold pink, Gavina or Philip Treacy give you something special. Finally, Candy and Lilac are a similar style and definitely create a statement! For something a bit different, check out Madison – that’s one you wouldn’t forget!!
